Mr. Ayo Salami was born into the union of Chief and Mrs. Anthony Alarape Salami of Jagun Ojoagabi House, in Oyo, Oyo state, Nigeria.
He obtained his first degree in Agricultural Engineering from the university of Ife, Ile Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University. Mr. Salami had never sat for Yoruba as a written paper or under any examination; but is good in oral and written aspects of the language.
He is popularly known and called OgunMatthew by friends during his student days while still in the University because of his radical proverbs and identification with Yoruba as a language of wisdom. His second book, Dialects and Language Origin, would be found to be equally breathtaking.
Married to beautiful Edore, Mr. Salami lives in Warri with his family.

Dear Awo Ayo Salami
I pray all is well and Happy New Years, to you and the family. I bought your Ifá A Complete Divination.
I have 18 years Ifá/ òrìşà, and a pan-Africana’s since I was 13 years old. The love I have for the wisdom and art/science of the African Diaspora is immense. I was borned Afro-Caribbean in Panama, raised in the States.
I see a stream that is troubling. It is said that the more the quantity, the smaller the quality. I find that be true, yet; Ifa, imho, is a guide to living and a very great moral compass for those of consciousness. Pointed out in Irosun.
Religion is affected by culture and evolution; it does not in of itself solve problems. Its common manifestations in history are faith lessons. Faith is a way of life, it’s energy and breathe; undisputedly, brought us from the lands of Africa to this: Ethnic Humans on a “Globe”. Theology is a great study to wean wisdom and truths, where within, under cultural evolutions it carries much baggies as well as perennial lessons.
Religion and Theogy also had to deal with this human custom of competition and dominances’. I don’t enjoy it at all, even from my own, Afro and Latin-Americans.
I write to share a belief of mine and ask when I send you questions that you would answer based on your rules. I haven’t join twitter to be followed, but; for the gems of info, wisdom, and professional. It is pretty neat; it even provides daily mico- poetry.
I would like to go Nigeria and Ghana, very soon. I went to Tindad and meet the wise Awo Poopla. Please send me your reading of the year. It is now January and June (6). I am doing a study on Faith, using our core Afro-Americana; my Ita has made me almost a monk. I read only with Obi and Cowries.
Aye’ ni rere
Life is eternal
